Bitcoin 2021 / NFTs.tips Miami X Eight Meta Virtual Music Showcase

MIAMI, FLORIDA; JUNE 1-6 - NFTs.tips, the world's largest and fastest-growing NFT community, hosted its first pop-up exhibition at BitCoin 2021 this June in Miami. The nonprofit foundation hosted six physical events and one full virtual day showcasing digital works from 116 international artists.

Special experiences such as an NFT treasure hunt in the Wynwood District and a Vernissage dinner to celebrate the launch of the NFTs.tips Collectors Club are also planned for the week.

In addition to a curated presentation of digital artwork, guests can expect “crypto cocktails,” exclusive AR gallery exhibits, an NFT pool party, limited edition NFT giveaways, and digital swag bags.

The main theme of this inaugural NFTs.tips exhibition is Out of the Darkness, into the Light, a visual representation of society’s journey out of the global coronavirus pandemic.

A special digital arts series “Life is a Garden” will be presented during the Collectors Club Vernissage party on Thursday June 3rd. These works will also be shown at the Black Dove Gallery on Saturday June 5th. Both events are by invitation only.

In Miami, Collectors and enthusiasts can meet up-and-coming and established artists in a social yet interactive setting. NFTis.tips will also provide guests with an overview of this new technology. On Wednesday, June 2, NFTs.tips celebrated the Miami virtual day with back-to-back Clubhouse rooms during the day featuring artists discussing their art. In the evening fans from around the world took to the metaverse for musical performances by Avalona Music, Princess Samurai, Weinbagz, Tyrone Post, Mend Universe, Young M.G. LV XIV, Chris Arvan, Ravin Dave, and DJ Journey.

The performances seen above, were experienced by one hundred guests in the virtual venue below. Using WASD keys and a mouse pad to move around, the environment is Oculus enabled but easily accessible and fun on a desktop attached to wired internet.

The customized, Mozilla Hubs environment lets users choose an avatar or upload their own. Geo-spatial audio and voice recognition allows users to communicate in real-time within the open environment, complete with gestures and tracking movements.

Fans could not only engage directly with each other, but also dip off and enjoy the show solo, or like IRL do both. The difference is here, people came from around the world, without leaving wherever they were. Pretty cool! And to top it all off, there was featured some amazing nft art, all linked and available to purchase on the spot. Brilliant!

Friday, May 28 - Defi App Conference features the top companies in the decentralized finance space. Decentralized finance (commonly referred to as DeFi) is a blockchain-based form of finance that does not rely on central financial intermediaries such as brokerages, exchanges, or banks to offer traditional financial instruments, and instead utilizes smart contracts on blockchains, the most common being Ethereum.

Over 20 panels, keynotes, and expert-led discussions throughout the ten-hour day. Including decentralized finance & DEX, research & defi, governance, privacy, community building, decentralized ID, stablecoin, taxes, investors & investing, daos, analytics, and much more.

Closing out the day-long experience are DJ Journey & Ravin Dave with live artistic audio and visual performance in the Eight Meta metaverse.

Global Music Festival / Vatican

APRIL 24 – Global Music Festival is a weekly virtual music festival that takes place in a different location every couple of weeks. Fans and friends RSVP each week via Eventbrite for one of the limited numbers of spots available (due to bandwidth).

NFT art is hung throughout the venue each week by either performing artists or featured artists from the community such as the Ranch Dao and NFTs.tips.

Fans experimented with swapping avatars and branded custom merchandise. This is just the beginning.

Harmony and Balance - NFT Art Virtual Exhibition

On March 12, Vakseen, a 41-year-old digital artist based in California, accepted an 8 ETH bid (around $16,800 as of Monday) for the first of six editions of a digital painting featuring legendary basketball player Michael Jordan.

I'm in Love!

NEW YORK, NY - Friday, May 18, 2018 - Gramercy production duo S.C.R.D. released their sixth studio single titled, “I’m in Love,” off of their forthcoming album expected to release in the fall. The duo once again delivered a fun, upbeat record for indie label Trip Digital. Released by Flourish $ Prosper Music Group and distributed by Empi.re Records, “I’m in Love” is available globally on Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, Amazon, Shazam, and YouTube.

For this record, S.C.R.D. once again collaborated with Super Producer DJ Journey for the concept and composition. The recording of the record took place between 2016-2018 at Mindlab Studio in Los Angeles, CA and Shelter Island Sound Studios in New York, NY. This record captures the moments in life when we decide to pursue business and passion instead of a potential love interest. In other words, when we put a relationship on pause.

Spotlight: S.C.R.D.'s "Phone Sext"

"The intro, which can be a recognizable sound to anyone who has "done the deed" via phone call, draws you into the whole story S.C.R.D. and their talented group are about to take you on. Lyrically, "Phone Sext" is pretty much what to say during one of these steamy moments with your boo-thang, as it fully goes through someone's experience with phone sexting (even the "race to the finish" moment as your phone dies but you haven't reached that finish line, if you get what I'm saying). The college-age demographic for these guys, though, will know exactly what I'm talking about, as this is practically the epitome of what "phone sexting" is about, which makes the song lewd and real, but in an entirely good way.

Not only do the lyrics take you on a journey, but musically, the song gives a beat resembling that of "let's do the nasty" music that you may play or just hear in your head (or those R-rated romance movies with the oddly placed sex scene between your two protagonists. The delivered bass line from Genus meshes well with Harrison's piano (which you can hear really well in the instrumental) to give that feel good vibe behind the beat. And although I was skeptical of it at first, the violin delivered from Licata, which can also be heard better in the instrumental, blends in perfectly with the track to give a whole new layer to that dip of music.

Oddly enough, I see myself listening to "Phone Sext" again in the future, even if it's not my typical taste of music. Is it for the phone sexting tips/how-to? Is it for the sexy music that makes me just wanna vibe? Is it for the sultry vocals?

Well that's only for me to know."

Then life begins to imitate art, and art blurs life, the nights get longer, and the stakes get higher. When heading “Downtown,” sometimes the night doesn’t end, when the day begins.
