Juneteenth is the newest federal U.S. holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it is now celebrated annually on June 19 throughout the United States, with increasing official recognition.
The custom Eight Meta island hosted NFTs.tips artists from around the globe that came together to support Juneteenth African American Art through art and performances. Please enjoy the recap of performances below or the entire show.

MIAMI, FLORIDA; JUNE 1-6 - NFTs.tips, the world's largest and fastest-growing NFT community, hosted its first pop-up exhibition at BitCoin 2021 this June in Miami. The nonprofit foundation hosted six physical events and one full virtual day showcasing digital works from 116 international artists.
Special experiences such as an NFT treasure hunt in the Wynwood District and a Vernissage dinner to celebrate the launch of the NFTs.tips Collectors Club are also planned for the week.
In addition to a curated presentation of digital artwork, guests can expect “crypto cocktails,” exclusive AR gallery exhibits, an NFT pool party, limited edition NFT giveaways, and digital swag bags.

The main theme of this inaugural NFTs.tips exhibition is Out of the Darkness, into the Light, a visual representation of society’sjourney out of the global coronavirus pandemic.
A special digital arts series “Life is a Garden” will be presented during the Collectors Club Vernissage party on Thursday June 3rd. These works will also be shown at the Black Dove Gallery on Saturday June 5th. Both events are by invitation only.
In Miami, Collectors and enthusiasts can meet up-and-coming and established artists in a social yet interactive setting. NFTis.tips will also provide guests with an overview of this new technology. On Wednesday, June 2, NFTs.tips celebrated the Miami virtual day with back-to-back Clubhouse rooms during the day featuring artists discussing their art. In the evening fans from around the world took to the metaverse for musical performances by Avalona Music, Princess Samurai, Weinbagz, Tyrone Post, Mend Universe, Young M.G. LV XIV, Chris Arvan, Ravin Dave, and DJ Journey.
The performances seen above, were experienced by one hundred guests in the virtual venue below. Using WASD keys and a mouse pad to move around, the environment is Oculus enabled but easily accessible and fun on a desktop attached to wired internet.
The customized, Mozilla Hubs environment lets users choose an avatar or upload their own. Geo-spatial audio and voice recognition allows users to communicate in real-time within the open environment, complete with gestures and tracking movements.
Fans could not only engage directly with each other, but also dip off and enjoy the show solo, or like IRL do both. The difference is here, people came from around the world, without leaving wherever they were. Pretty cool! And to top it all off, there was featured some amazing nft art, all linked and available to purchase on the spot. Brilliant!

Friday, May 28 - Defi App Conference features the top companies in the decentralized finance space. APRIL 24 – Global Music Festival is a weekly virtual music festival that takes place in a different location every couple of weeks. Fans and friends RSVP each week via Eventbrite for one of the limited numbers of spots available (due to bandwidth).
NFT art is hung throughout the venue each week by either performing artists or featured artists from the community such as the Ranch Dao and NFTs.tips.
Fans experimented with swapping avatars and branded custom merchandise. This is just the beginning.

S.C.R.D. - Feels Like (Official Video) is that uncanny, slightly awkward moment, your roommate, sibling, parent, friend, lover or neighbor walks in on you while dancing by yourself, in headphones, in a common area, like a bodega or c-store.
This new S.C.R.D. record is a break from their norm, a step left into the electronic medium in collaboration with DJ Journey & LA Fashion Photographer, Catherine Asanov, who recently stated, "I still don't get it." Nonetheless, her collaborators are pumped and excited for this release.
"Even though we just dropped an album "The Adventures Of" in December, which is doing great on Spotify and iTunes, we felt it was necessary to keep the momentum going with a release every month. We've subtly hinted at electronic sounds on our record "Legal Weed," which features soloed synths singing like voices for an entire instrumental single and album joint.
Besides, the sound has shifted. Honestly, the hottest sounds today are like what we used to make in our bedroom back in 2013-2014. Super lo-fi, good production, but not much movement or depth, sonically, even though playlist curators are so "in-tune" with this new sound. We don't really like to follow trends. We know what's good and cool, but we kinda just do our own thing. Love it, hate it, honestly, we appreciate either which every way you want to judge it.
Regardless, we write for history, eternity, and contemporary entertainment, education, and documentary purposes. Some people call what we do a borderline parody. In these times, we all need something to laugh at, seriously. We think that everyone is taking themselves too seriously. We like to have fun, and want to bring that back, to help bring us all together. Just dance.
Los Angeles, California – December 25, 2020 – To say that the past year has been hard is an understatement. The pandemic managed to bring the whole world to a stand-still. At a time so bleak, artists pushed through to create and express in different mediums. S.C.R.D. is the perfect example of an artist who used a bleak situation to make a silver lining.
In a bid to help the world forget about 2020 and its disasters, the artists S.C.R.D. have put together an album, “The Adventures Of,” that has been five years in the making. A collection of talented and accomplished artists and collaborators used their environment and society as inspiration for the stories they tell in this album.
“The Adventures Of” is an album full of short stories in song format. The 14 tracks on the album represent fourteen different stories. When combined, the stories encompass the essence of the last five years and the socio-political climate that has persisted.
In short, the album tracks the changes in society, the artists’ own psychological mindset, and emotional changes. The perspectives of the artists have been distilled into fourteen short stories in musical form.
The release party for “The Adventures Of” is going to be different as it is happening via live stream. The virtual album release party is taking place at 9 pm E.S.T. on December 25, 2020, on the streaming platform Twitch. The virtual party ensures that people from all over the world are available to attend the party and hopefully forget about the year gone by for a little while.

Mosh Pit is a song about identifying challenges and differences between individuals and their situations. The only remedy is the circle, the cipher aka the mosh pit, where problems are debated and solved.
While originally written and recorded between 2016-2018, we waited until the landscape was ripe and the context made sense for a record like this. This record is actually the third of a four record series that culminates next month but began on November 3 2016 with “Breaking News”, our first "‘political’ record, although written at the time from an independent, large picture perspective.
The second record of the series was “Art Bless America” which when written (2016) and released (2019) stood as a reminder of America’s greatness to an outsider. The video (2020), however, shifts lenses drawing a clear distinction between racism, oppression, resistance, and tyranny as captured through live footage over the spring and summer. Notwithstanding our original intent, this body of works was written before its time, in order to reflect these times.
Mosh Pit which was also written in the past, for the future, could not be published without comment on the current cultural context into which it would be released. As a group, we clearly stand against racism. For our promotion video, we decided to make that point clear. For the lyric video, we decided to let the lyrics speak for themselves.
Artist production duo, Sweet Chuck Ravin Dave writes, produces, and performs music, videos, and content under Trip Digital Music, and independent record label based in NYC/LA. The two met in Gramercy, New York City during the fall of 2013, and by 2014 began writing and recording at their 19th street studio along with Super Producer DJ Journey. S.C.R.D. is named after Sweet Chuck and Ravin Dave, the two principal members of the group. Together they infuse old skool beats, live instrumentation, and witty, humorous, and slightly satirically lewd lyrics to take fans on a journey through heartbreaks with an ebullience for life and the thirst for adventure. Their collaboration between each other thrives off co-collaborating with local musicians, friends, and fans they lure into their musical tsunami, which helps drive their artistic creativity to new heights.

From the outside looking in, our country is one the world looks to as a perfect model. Men and women have built fortunes for themselves. Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Facebook, are all trillion-dollar companies. This is what our friends around the world call the “American Dream.”
Yet, the skeletons of racism fall out of our closet every now and then. A police beating here and a biased comment there. Sweep it under the rug real quick to protect the image. I think everyone knows our past in America, but it doesn’t matter because so much greatness has come from this country. It doesn’t really matter until it matters. Now the world hears the echoes of “BLACK LIVES MATTER!”
And our friends in London say “Hell yeah, they matter! Because you gave us Hip Hop!” “Art Bless America” symbolizes the culture in America that the world respects.
“The only free nation built on creation focused on transformation for the young minds can be equal. In other words, we do this for the people.”
“Art Bless America” was written in 2015 for 2020. Our country’s greatness has outgrown its ugly past.
The world is watching America fight for something they thought we already had, equality. They are waiting on the sidelines to show us how inspirational we have been to them, and they are ready to help us create an America that can truly be great. ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Since the start of the year, LuMm came out the gates swinging with the release of his singles (Spotify) “JENGA, NOSEBLEEDS, and BLACK MAGIC (Ft. HIPPIE-C). To follow all of the great music he’s been releasing lately, LuMm is back at it again with a new song and visual titled Plan B (Ft. Rob Woods). Rob Woods is a Sacramento native which is definitely projected to be a fan favorite. The song Plan B gives listeners a look inside what’s really going on in today’s society and touches on topics such as police brutality, the impact that drugs have on today’s youth, and racism. NEW YORK, NY - On Friday, June 8, 2018 - Singer / Songwriter Bella Saona officially released sixth single from her debut album “Parousia.,” along with five remixes on the six song The Hollow EP available on Spotify and iTunes. In April, 2017, released her first studio album titled, “Parousia,” meaning presence or arrival in vinyl and digital format. The album’s title is reflective of Bella’s Paraguyan and Brazilian descent.
The Hollow is a song about not falling under the constant spell of lies being casted over us by the media, society, and when it comes to love. Its a message about questioning the norm and not accepting things at face value. Being awake. Seeing past the mirage and the manipulation. Bella's music is a mix of dance, electronic, rock and intelligent pop. It is conscious music aimed at a global audience, with no defined age. The production of the Parousia record lasted 2 years. It was a collaboration with her producer and creative director, Victor Lau.
The Hollow Remixes were each a collaboration with other artists and producers which include Stacey Ayers, Andres Diaz, Er!c Lee, and Ravin Dave (S.C.R.D.). Each collaboration was a result of relationships fostered over years and experiences, and reflect the nature of those circumstances. Bella and Victor met Ravin Dave during the summer in 2013. Since then, they have collaborated on a couple of Bella’s live performances at Beatique, CBGB Festival and a Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn block party.
Bella began her career at age 14, with performances at different festivals and clubs in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and the UK. In 2011 she joined the record label Ultra Records, one of the most popular and recognized in the genre of electronic music. During her early years as a solo artist she worked with major English producers such as Grammy Award-winning Sandy Vee , who released her single Nobody Loves Me and Bare Noize, British producers with whom she worked on her song Off With Their Heads. Furthermore, her hits Do it Again and Off With Their Heads were included in MTV reality shows and the NCIS Los Angeles television show. Back in 2009, while working as an intern for Rocafella Records, Nick Hews met Derik Lavers who had just finished Season 8 of American Idol. After becoming friends and a couple of small bedroom production projects, they both moved to LA, met DJ Journey and formed the Klick by 2015. Between December 9-10, 2015 the duo wrote and recorded Summertime at the legendary Skip Saylor Recording studio in Ensino, CA, with engineer Lester Mendoza.
Summertime is poppy, vibrant and clean fun, targeting the happy, go-lucky collegiate party-types. The Klick plans to release two more single recorded during the same time this year. Meanwhile, Nick Hews is currently finishing his solo debut album Matthew 17 expected to drop in the fall, and previously released a collab single with DEV, titled “Done That” last year.

NEW YORK, NY - On Friday, May 11, 2018 - Brooklyn made, Queens saved Hip Hop artist DEV released his second studio single, “Games,” the first single to drop from his forthcoming album titled Arrogant Youth, expected later this year. Arrogant Youth is a project based on years of writing, rapping and learning the art and game. It’s a reflection on the current Hip Hop landscape from an educated perspective. Games is a hard 64 bar verse laid over a Super Producer DJ Journey beat. Recorded at Lounge Studios Vanilla Sky with engineer Joseph Angol, the record was mixed and mastered by Mikaelin ‘Blue’ BlueSpruce at Brown Sugar, and executive produced by S.C.R.D.
Artist, actor and security guard at one of Manhattan’s most prestigious hotels and nightlife hub, DEV spends his days writing and recording records based on his reflections of interactions with so many different types of people, and his own upbringing and studies of Hip Hop, while growing up in New York City. DEV’s first single release was a collab project in Fall 2017 with Nick Hews and DJ Journey, titled “Done That.”
The record HUSH is about not listening to the hype or the haters, that often talk in your ear and on social media. Kris Payne’s lyrics, flow and delivery are all a reflection on the senseless chatter and hate. Kris Payne is not your average rapper. His flow and lyrics will take you back in time, while his smooth, raw vocal delivery is poetic and wistfully visual. Kris often draws comparisons to the likes of the Notorious BIG, LL Cool J and Dr. Dre, which considering his childhood upbringing, and being a Leo with the same birthday as Chuck D and Professor Griff, may be an indication. Payne grew up in Brooklyn, and then moved out to Baldwin, Long Island for high school.
Kris worked his way into regular rotation on BET’s 106 & Park and then found himself in a cipher with Run DMC. Payne drew the attention of Public Enemy’s Chuck D and The Bomb Squad super producer Keith Shocklee, both local Roosevelt, Long Island natives. Kris invested the past five years into building trust, which led to his mentorship from Hip Hop legends and eventually projects with Common and Rakim. Most importantly, Kris made the transition from playground battle rapper to recording artist now is now poised to set the stage on fire.
